I enjoy all of your YouTube videos, especially the What happened here series
I live in Murphy for neatly 50 years. The history and people are one of the main things that drew me to the area.
One in particular was a lady named Luzene (?) Rattler.
At the time I met her she was already well into her 70s.
I could sit and listen to her stories, history, traditions, and legends. A true piece of history.
I am curious about one location in particular. IThere is a marble marker on Dickey street indicating the lot as the birthplace of Chief Junaluska
I also enjoying listening to Billy Ray Palmer, and he , too the best of my knowledge has not covered the story.
Is it a proven fact, or speculation that the site was his birthplace?
Thank you so much for sharing your stories, and historyRobert Massey
